Kathleen's Favorite Medium: My favorite medium is probably just pencil. It’s what I’m most comfortable drawing in and I have the most practice with it.
Art of which Kathleen is Especially Proud to Have Created: One of my favorite drawings was one I did last year in Drawing class. It was a picture of Nicole for a project we were doing, and it was no doubt the best project I turned in. I looked off a selfie she took and recreated it on a big piece of grey paper. Kathleen's Inspiration: An artist that really inspires me is this artist on Instagram with the name “Teethmeat.” I’ve loved her art for the longest time, and she’s one of the few artists who motivate me to get better. I love her style so much, and I always can’t wait to see what she posts next.
Words of Wisdom for Young Artists:My words of wisdom for younger artists is to not give up. Sometimes it seems hard to get better or that you’re trying but don’t see much of an outcome, but you will get better. When I look back at my old art and compare it to what I'm making now, it makes me feel really good about what I make. So just don’t give up on yourself and keep trying to improve.

Mr. Hallstrom's Favorite Medium: Drawing! (By a mile.)
Art of which Mr. Hallstrom is Especially Proud to Have Created: There are a few pieces that represent points of artistic growth, but I'm always most excited when I finish a book. So many things have to come together to finish a project of that size, and the sense of completion is unlike anything else.
Mr. Hallstrom's Inspiration: Skottie Young Mike Mignola Akira Toriyama Sam Henry Matias Bergara I could go on forever, there is no shortage of great artists.
Words of Wisdom for Young Artists: If you want to excel with art on a professional level you need to create everyday. You need to be able to lengthen your artistic focus, and the sooner you get started on that the better off you will be!
